LEI Staff participated in the Run for the Sun 5k on Wednesday, July 19. The Run for the Sun event brings campers, counselors, donors, families, friends, and sponsors together to raise awareness and support for Camp Sunshine. Camp Sunshine provides a summer camping experience for individuals with special needs. A big thank you to all who participated in supporting this worthy cause.
Erin Gerber, PE, has been named Vice President of Lakeshore Environmental, Inc. In this position, Ms. Gerber will facilitate LEI’s team approach and oversee day to day operations for the company. In addition to these responsibilities, she will continue to lead LEI’s Natural Resources Division, specializing in wastewater treatment, on-site management, and industrial compliance. Ms. Gerber has established herself as an innovator and pioneer in the food processing industry as a champion of treatment efficiency and water reduction.
Ms. Gerber is a 2011 graduate of the University of Michigan, with a degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering. In 2016, Ms. Gerber attained licensure as a Professional Engineer in the state of Michigan. Ms. Gerber is an active member of the Michigan Food Processors Association (MFPA) and currently serves as Vice President of the MFPA Suppliers Board.
LEI is excited to announce that we have hired a new professional engineer in our Grand Haven, Michigan office! Brandon Wright joins us from Nashville, TN where he has worked in civil and environmental consulting for 7 years. He has a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Tennessee Knoxville with a concentration in Water Resources, and an M.B.A from the University of Phoenix. Mr. Wright’s experience is in industrial storm water and wastewater compliance, treatment design, system troubleshooting, and treatability testing for biological, physical, and chemical treatment processes. LEI is excited to announce that we have hired a new geologist to work out of our Grand Haven, Michigan office! Shelby Bush is a 2015 graduate of Central Michigan University and has a BS degree in Geology with a concentration in hydrogeology. She also has a minor in mathematics, further strengthening our team in that area. Ms. Bush has experience in the environmental consulting industry having worked at an eastern Michigan environmental services firm. Ms. Bush’s expertise includes soil and groundwater sampling, drill rig oversight, Phase I and II ESAs.
LEI is pleased to announce that Shelby Bush has joined our Grand Haven office as a Project Geologist. Shelby recently graduated from Central Michigan University with a B.S. in Geology. She will primarily be working with our Food Processing Unit. Her skillset will also be utilized to assist LEI’s LUST and ESA Departments.
LEI is excited to announce that Joy Fairfield has been added to the LEI team! Joy will be serving as an Administrative Assistant, primarily helping our accounting department. She has several years of experience as an Administrative Assistant, holds a B.A. degree in English Literature, and has a background in editing.
LEI has hired a new Project Scientist, Andrew DeLodder, to assist with the growing needs of our expanding ESA/Brownfield Department. Andrew is a recent graduate of Northern Michigan University with a B.S. degree in Environmental Studies and Sustainability. Prior to joining LEI, Mr. DeLodder worked at Tanknology as an Environmental Compliance Technician.
It was a beautiful summer day for a 5k run in Grand Rapids, especially for such a great cause! This is the second year that Lakeshore Environmental, Inc. (LEI) has sponsored and participated in this event.
It was a cold day for a 5k, but several members of LEI’s team weathered the conditions in support of the Michigan Special Olympics! What a great cause – glad that we could be a partner!
